{"id":13893,"date":"2021-01-19T10:24:21","date_gmt":"2021-01-19T09:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spartacoripa.com\/biography\/"},"modified":"2021-01-19T10:24:21","modified_gmt":"2021-01-19T09:24:21","slug":"biography","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.spartacoripa.com\/en\/biography\/","title":{"rendered":"Biography"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Spartaco Ripa<\/strong> is a painter, illustrator and cartoonist.<\/p>\n\n<p>He began back in 1980, publishing with the Paris-based <strong>Edition Du Bois de Boulogne<\/strong> and with <strong>Edifumetto<\/strong> in Milan.<\/p>\n\n<p>From 1995 to 2015 he collaborated with the children\u2019s magazine \u201c<strong>Il Giornalino<\/strong>\u201d of the \u201c<strong>Edizioni Paoline<\/strong>\u201d drawing various characters including (<strong>Angelo Dei \u2013 Star Trash \u2013 Supergame \u2013 Le favole di nonno Nedo<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n<p>He currently collaborates with various publishers including \u201c<strong>Aurea Editoriale<\/strong>\u201d (formerly <strong>EURA<\/strong>) for \u201c<strong>Lancio Story<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Skorpio<\/strong>\u201c, \u201c<strong>Trapassati Inc. <\/strong>\u201d (John Doe) by <strong>Lorenzo Bartoli<\/strong>, \u201c<strong>Urbes Occultae<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Alessandro Di Virgilio<\/strong>, \u201c<strong>L\u2019amore ai Tempi del Morbo<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>R. Dal Pra<\/strong>, \u201c<strong>Cuori da Bartoli<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Lorenzo Bartoli<\/strong> and with the children\u2019s newspaper \u201c<strong>Il Giornalino<\/strong>\u201d by \u201c<strong>Edizioni Paoline<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n<p>For\u00a0\u201c<strong>Feltrinelli Editore<\/strong>\u201d he illustrated \u201c<strong>La Storia di Capitan Patchwork<\/strong>\u201c, based on the novel \u201c<strong>Terra!<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Stefano Benni<\/strong> and the children\u2019s tale \u201c<strong>L\u2019invenzione del Naso e altre Storie<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Claudio Baglioni<\/strong> and <strong>Paola Massari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>In 2013, for \u201c<strong>Albeggi Edizioni<\/strong>\u201c, the book of poems by <strong>Gian Carlo Di Renzo<\/strong> \u201c<strong>I viaggi di Doctor G.<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n<p>Between 2016 and 2018, directed by <strong>Alberto Di Giglio<\/strong> for \u201c<strong>Mediterranea Production<\/strong>\u201d he illustrated the docufilms \u201c<strong>Con il Vento nel Petto<\/strong>\u201c, \u201c<strong>Troverai un Cuore<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>La Forza di una Scelta<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n<p>For <strong>Istituto Luce di Cinecitt\u00e0<\/strong> he illustrated the docufilm \u201c<strong>L\u2019uomo che non Cambi\u00f2 la Storia<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Enrico Caria<\/strong> winner of the 2017 Golden Globe<\/p>\n\n<p>In 2019 he illustrated <strong>La Citt\u00e0 in Fondo al Mare<\/strong> by <strong>Mauro Grimaldi<\/strong>, winner of the Racalmare Leonardo Sciascia Award for children\u2019s publishing.<\/p>\n\n<p>For \u201c<strong>Il Formichiere Editore<\/strong>\u201d he illustrated \u201c<strong>Raccontini di Viaggio<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>L invito Valente<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Gian Carlo Di Renzo<\/strong> in 2020.<\/p>\n\n<p>For \u201c<strong>DGF-Lab<\/strong>\u201d editions in 2020 \u201c<strong>Storia di Leo, Il Bambino che Sconfisse il Covid con la Fantasia<\/strong>\u201c, written by <strong>Mauro Grimaldi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Since 1980 he has worked as a freelancer for various advertising agencies in Rome and Milan as an illustrator and storyboard-artist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spartaco Ripa is a painter, illustrator and cartoonist.
